THEROPODS

..Theropods, a large group including predatory dinosaurs, have a lot of popular members who have appeared on the movie screens. Groups of feathered dinosaurs that are considered to have plumaged bodies are among them, and they are presumed to be the origin of the ancestors of present birds. They fit well in a swingy composition like this.

..A Tarbosaurus strides over the dry lands of Asian upcountry. In a sparse scrub of arid climate, a Homalocephale is hiding to avoid danger. Up on the slope on the left, an Opisthocoelicaudia, a sauropod, grazes tree leaves leisurely. Beyond the woods on the right, a Therizinosaurus has just shown its ugly appearance out of the desert.

..In the refreshing clear sky, a group of ancient birds are soaring. They are in almost the same shape of present birds, as a result of constant evolution since the Early Cretaceous.
..
..This is a scene on a corner of Mongolia towards the end of the Cretaceous, about 70 million years ago.
